The Napa Bike Fest will be held next Sunday, April 27, at Oxbow Public Market, featuring a bike swap, BMX stunt show, live music and organized rides.

This event, sponsored by the Napa County Bicycle Coalition, is intended for all ages and bicycling interests, with the goal of promoting community health.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Oxbow market’s south parking lot, 500 First St., Napa.

The event will feature: music from Napa PorchFest musicians, bike stunts and contests, a bike swap, food and beverages and four bike rides, including one specifically for children who are required to wear a helmet.

The Poker Road Ride will tour the east side of Napa. The $40 ride package includes support, a series of rest stops where riders will gather cards for a poker hand and the chance to win Napa Valley wines, and lunch and drink ticket upon return.

The Mountain Bike Ride, costing $15, includes a mountain bike ride to Skyline Park and back, admission to the park, lunch and a drink ticket.

The Napa Heritage Ride, costing $10, is a cruiser-bike friendly ride through downtown Napa. Bill Tuikka from Napa County Landmarks will guide riders as he shares stories about many of Napa's historical buildings. The ride includes a free drink ticket and a water bottle.

The KIDical Mass is a fun-comes-first bike ride for kids and their families to learn about safe cycling. KIDical Mass is designed to educate bike-curious parents about safe bicycling with children, teach kids to ride safely, encourage biking to school, and to increase the visibility of families biking on Napa streets.
