Inn-Escapable: Napa’s Cozy Blackbird Inn Offers Plenty of Comfort

Just a short walk from downtown Napa, the Blackbird Inn is a beautiful old home built in 1902 and made into a bed-and-breakfast during the 1990s. It features Craftsman-style architecture — lots of wood and stone, which almost give the feel of a mountain inn. The inn offers breakfast in the morning and wine and hors d'oeuvres each afternoon, and the staff is outgoing and helpful. We spent some quality time outside, ensconced in comfy chairs (most of the furniture is handmade), and a baby squirrel even scampered up to visit. It was very charming.

Rooms: The Blackbird has eight rooms, no two the same. Ours was very cozy with a fireplace and lots of wood. The marble and tile bathroom had an oversized jet spa and shower combination (My wife took one step inside and said it was big enough to cook a meal in).
