TONY SAUNDERS BAND FEAT: VERNON BLACK & GEOFF ALPERT
Two-time Emmy Award Winner Bassist Tony Saunders released his 3rd CD Uptown Jazz on San Francisco Records in 2015. It featured Gerald Albright and reached as high as number 5 on Smooth Jazz charts. Tony has recently played with Paul Jackson Jr., Jessie J, Nils, Sinbad, Randy Crawford, Joe Sample and Harvey Mason. Tony has also played with jazz greats Dave Liebman, Les McCann, and Esther Phillips along with Rock legends Eric Clapton, Ringo, Crosby, Stills & Nash. With his world-famous dad Keyboardist Merl Saunders, he played with Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Buffy St Marie and Dr. John. Tony Romances the Bass like he romances Life.
Tony’s band features Vernon Black on guitar. Vernon has played with Herbie Hancock, Maze, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Booker T Jones.
Tony’s band also features Geoff Albert on Trombone. Geoff latest release “Open Your Heart” remains on the Billboard charts.
