CIA alumnus Chef J.J. Johnson cooks at home for the Around the Kitchen

Table live cooking demos series. Johnson will be preparing King Crab Scampi style with black garlic.

Johnson is a James Beard Award-winning chef, best known for his barrier-breaking cuisine connecting the foodways of West Africa and Asia to the Americas.

He is a chef on Buzzfeed’s Tasty platform, the television host on Just Eats with Chef JJ and an award-winning cookbook author featured in Forbes “30 Under 30.”

With his hospitality group Ingrained Hospitality Concepts, Johnson opened Fieldtrip, a quick-casual rice bowl shop located in Harlem (N.Y.C.) that highlights rice traditions from around the world.
