Celebrate Father’s Day in Napa With a Cold One

The City of Napa’s flourishing craft brew scene gives visitors one more great reason to do Napa – especially this Father’s Day. Treat dad to a day of beer tasting and hearty eating!

Not sure where to start? Here are three craft brews from three different local breweries to guide you. If these don’t fit his personality, you’re sure to find something perfect as you beer taste your way through Napa.

  1. Strong, flavorful and reliable, Stone IPA from Stone Brewing is the ideal brew for the Dad who is always there to support his family. This hoppy, bitter beer with a subtle citrus note is one of the original IPAs that was widely available before the current IPA craze.

  1. For the fun-loving, kid-at-heart Dad, swing by Downtown Joe’s for a pint or two of Lazy Summer American Wheat. Quintessentially summer, this beer is refreshing and easy to drink with just enough substance.

  1. We’re not sure if this is a beer for the dessert-loving Dad or the adventure seeker, but either way, the Strawberry Parfait from Fieldwork Brewing is going to bring some fun to your day. The beer will surprise you with a thick, creamy consistency while still offering the tart, fruity taste you’d expect from strawberries.

To balance out your beer drinking, we recommend booking reservations for a hefty steak dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak or taking Dad to grab a giant cheeseburger from Gott’s Roadside.

If your Dad (or husband, or brother, or son…) isn’t the classic steak dinner or burger type of guy, there are dozens of other restaurants to explore. Savor world-class Japanese fare at Morimoto Napa or try the famous beer can chicken at Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ.

We hope all the Dads out there enjoy celebrating Father’s Day in Napa!
