Making Spirits Bright: Holiday Cheer Comes to the City of Napa

Napa Christmas Tree LightingKick off the season right with Napa’s community Christmas tree lighting on November 22. Featuring Christmas carols, hot cocoa, cookies, and of course – a huge Christmas tree – what more could you want as you enter the most wonderful time of the year?

Napa’s Christmas Parade Join the festive crowds at Napa’s 54th annual Christmas parade, which takes place Saturday, November 25. Decorative floats, sounds of the season and a visit from Santa himself will have everyone feeling the holiday spirit.

Napa on IceBundle up and take a spin on the ice at Napa’s only outdoor ice skating rink, which is open now through early January. Skate rentals are free, and the ice rink is open throughout the day and into the evening.

Holiday Concerts – Napa’s local music scene celebrates the season all December long! Check out Chris Isaak’s Holiday Tour at the Uptown Theatre, or the Royal Jelly Jive Christmas Special at Blue Note Napa. Or, try the Tuba Christmas concert at Veteran’s Park – where you can watch or join the musicians if you play an instrument from the tuba family!

Santa TrainAll aboard the Santa Train! Over the holidays, the Napa Wine Train transforms into a magical experience taking children to the North Pole. Santa’s elves, fresh cookies, hot chocolate, and lots of caroling will help make this a special Christmas memory for families.

Napa Valley Wine Trolley Explore historic downtown Napa and all of its glittering holiday lights with a ride on the Wine Trolley! The 90-minute trolley tours run throughout December and showcase Napa’s quaint inns and Victorian homes alongside candy canes and sing-alongs. Even better, proceeds benefit foster children in Napa County.  

Horse-drawn Carriage RidesHear the sleigh bells ring with free carriage rides for the family every Thursday in December. Take a hot drink to go and snuggle up as you ride around downtown Napa to savor the sights and sounds of Christmas time.
