Enjoy Napa with Your Dog

Next time you go to Napa, tell the dog-sitter to take the weekend off – because the City of Napa is completely pet-friendly! Check out some of the accommodations below to learn more about their pet-friendly amenities.

Inn on First

If your dog enjoys meeting new acquaintances, the Inn on First is a great choice for your wine country getaway. This B&B has three pet-friendly suites, and is home to three miniature schnauzers, who are happy to meet other four-legged friends. During your stay, your pet will have their own custom bed, food and water bowls and access to pet sitters if needed.

The Meritage Resort & Spa

With beautiful, spacious grounds, The Meritage Resort & Spa is an ideal place to stay when you bring your dogs to town. After romping around the property, your pup will surely be ready for some R&R on their own plush doggy bed in one of the luxurious, Tuscan-inspired rooms at The Meritage – leaving you plenty of time to go out and explore all that the resort has to offer. Your dog will even get a goodie bag with special dog biscuits, and a souvenir food bowl to take home!

Napa River Inn

Your pets will be living the good life when they come to the Napa River Inn, which has its very own VIP (very important pet) program. Your pups will get the royal treatment with custom blankets, stainless steel food and water bowls, gourmet biscuits and their own placemats. Pet sitters will take good care of your furry friends while you’re out discovering wine country.

These are just a handful of the many pet-friendly places in town. Some other pet-friendly lodgings include the Andaz Napa, Blackbird Inn, Embassy Suites Napa,  Napa Winery Inn, and the Westin Verasa.

But the fun for your fur baby doesn’t have to stop there! If you’d like to take your pet to explore wine country with you, the walkable downtown area is perfect for bringing them along, and you will encounter many pet-friendly spots along the way.

Angele Restaurant & Bar, a charming French country restaurant, welcomes doggies to dine on their riverfront patio. Grace’s table, a Napa bistro inspired by local ingredients, also has a pet-friendly patio. For something more casual, try the patios at Gott’s Roadside or Downtown Joe’s – both love dogs!

The many trails in Napa are also a great place to take your pup out for some exercise after they’ve lounged in luxury at one of Napa’s many pet-friendly lodgings. Some great pet friendly trails include Skyline Wilderness Park, an 850-acre wilderness area and the 47-mile Vine Trail.
