Beat the Heat in Napa

Beat the Heat in Napa

It’s summertime in Napa and while our temperature typically stays around the mid to high 80’s this time of year, we have been known to have a heat wave or two during the summer. To help you beat the heat and stay cool during those hot summer days, we’ve put together this list of activities to keep you cool all summer long.

Cool Down and Relax

Keep yourself cool and treat yourself to a relaxing spa treatment at any one of Napa’s world class spas. Spa Terra located behind The Meritage Resort & Spa is entirely underground in a 22,000 square foot Estate Wine Cave. It doesn’t get much cooler than a cave! After walking around Downtown Napa all day, massage away your aching feet with the ideal antidote – an organic spa pedicure at Greenhause Day Spa. You’ll leave with your feet having improved circulation and restored comfort.

Get In and Cool Off

Paddle your way up on the Napa River on a stand-up paddleboard or seated in a kayak. Hit the water early to have the wind at your back and the sun not too hot. Mix in a little history on a kayak tour with Napa Kayak Tours where they provide details on the history of Napa, flora and fauna for a one of a kind experience. After your journey up the Napa River, you can always head back to your hotel or B & B and take a dip in the pool there.

Grab A Cold One

Grab a refreshing, locally brewed beer to help you stay cool. Hop on over to the Fieldwork Tasting Room at the Oxbow Public Market offering a unique tasting experience of a rotating selection of craft beers produced at its Berkeley, California brewery. Get a taste of all their beers on tap with the sampler offering. These generous pours will quench your thirst and provide you with a great sampling of some of their most popular, unique and seasonal beers.
