If you’re planning a trip to Downtown Napa during Halloween, you’re in for plenty of treats sans the tricks. This getaway destination has something for families and adventurous ghost hunters alike. So pack your bags, don’t forget your costume, and head to Downtown Napa.
Get a sneak peek at Halloween by joining in on the fun at the Hometown Halloween Party – bringing together visitors, locals and merchants in the heart of Downtown Napa. Fun for the whole family, this event is October 29th from 11:00am-2:00pm and features local businesses getting in on the Halloween spirit by handing out candy to young ghoul and ghost trick-or-treaters.
This year you can also check out the “Oxboo Festival” kicking off at 9:00am on the 29th at the Oxbow Commons at 1st and McKinstry Street. This brand new festival conjures up all kinds of ghoulish fun from Halloween crafts and games to locally crafted food and beverages. And, if you’re feeling some rock’n roll in your bones, check out the 80’s cover band Hairstrike who will take the stage and perform from 12:30-3:00pm.
Stagger in early to the “Oxboo Festival” either to run or cheer on undead racers in the Napa Police Association Zombie Run that starts at 8:00am. Or check out a different sort of pinewood derby with the Napa City Firefighters Association Coffin Race. The race begins right after the Zombie Run at 10:30am. See who comes in “dead” last.
Looking for something to do on Halloween? Take your family down to the Napa Boys & Girls Club Halloween Carnival for a safe and fun evening at the Clubhouse. Fun for kids of all ages and FREE, this spooky Carnival has face painting, fortune telling, contests and games such as mummy wrapping. Rain or shine, the Carnival is a great outing on October 31st.
