Fun and Festive Activities for the Holidays

The holidays are right around the corner, and Downtown Napa has everything you need to get in the spirit. Instead of stressing out this holiday season, why not take a break, and try out this festive itinerary.

Start your day skating on 5,600 square feet of real ice; Napa on Ice is officially open! Napa Valley’s only outdoor ice skating rink is open daily, including holidays, through Jan. 11, 2015. Grab the kids, a few friends or maybe just your sweetheart and come show off your skills for only $12 per person, including skate rental.

After cruising the day away on the fresh ice, you’ll probably be craving something to warm your bones. Stop by Anette’s Chocolate Factory and pick up the best hot chocolate you will ever taste. Even better, pair it with some of Anette’s salted caramels and you will find yourself in a heavenly state.

After you’ve strolled the streets and let those sweets settle a bit, stop in at The Thomas for dinner. You can sit on the rooftop while eating and enjoy the sights of beautiful Downtown Napa during the holidays. You won’t get these views from any other restaurant in the area and the delicious food will leave you feeling jolly.

When you’ve tired yourself out for the day, the last thing you’ll want to do is travel, so kick off those shoes and relax at the beautiful and historic Napa River Inn on the Riverfront. When you awake refreshed the next day, treats from Sweetie Pies bakery will be delivered right to your room.

When in Napa… do as the Napa locals do: drink wine! Pick up a DoNapa tasting card and get ready for some sensational flavors and welcoming people. The card is only $30 each and you can stop in at 12 Downtown Napa tasting rooms for only 10¢ per taste. Everything downtown is within walking distance, so take your time, indulge and don’t be afraid to try something new. Get the card at the Napa Valley Official Welcome Center, just steps away from the Napa River Inn, or at the Napa Tourist Information Center at 1331 First Street.

Don’t waste this holiday season sitting on the couch or hanging out at the mall; try something a little different and Do Napa. Let the beautiful scenery and the warm locals get you in a festive mood. What better time than now to visit Downtown Napa?
