This month Downtown Napa is full of events and specials in celebration of Arts in April. The fourth annual Napa Valley Arts in April is a culturally satisfying experience highlighting local art exhibits, wine tastings, educational and cultural events throughout Napa. With spring in full-swing and Arts in April events all month, it’s a sensational time for an artistic escape.
Napa Valley Wine Train is joining the fun with its “Inspiration Station” exhibit. Pull into the “Inspiration Station” with the Wine Train and celebrate 25 years of operation and 150 years of rail history. Enjoy art exhibits showcasing real and imagined portrayals inspired by the Wine Train and its stunning Napa Valley surroundings. As you relax on the Wine Train and sip some exquisite local wine, let the natural beauty of the valley inspire your artistic side as it does for artists around the world. Additionally, in honor of Arts in April, the Wine Train will be giving $1.00 for every rider in April to the Napa Valley Arts Council.
Join Inn on Randolphon April 12 for an exhibition, reception and workshop featuring the product of local favorite artist, celebrated Napa photographer Suzanne Becker Bronk. Enjoy delicious food, fine wines and spectacular art in a fun filled afternoon. From 12:30 to 3 p.m. take your iPhone photography skills to a new level at a fun workshop where Suzanne will cover tips and secrets to make the iPhone camera a more powerful tool, and also teach some composition and design techniques. From 3 to 6 p.m. enjoy the Vineyard Vignettes Exhibition and Reception. Vineyard Vignettes is Suzanne’s newest exhibition that explores the vineyard as an alive phenomenon. At times bustling and at other moments tranquil, the vineyard changes not only seasonally, but to the observant eye, daily. Along with the art exhibition attendees can indulge in a delicious menu of small bites prepared by Inn on Randolph’s Chef Ethan Speizer paired with Neiman Cellars’ highly limited production, minimal intervention wines.
Join Andaz Napa for its Art Conversations Salon Event, a celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Woodstock. On April 18, come meet the legendary Woodstock photographer, Baron Wolman, as he recounts his experience at one of the most iconic music festivals of a generation. Let this experience take you back and imagine yourself as part of the exemplary festival. The Salon will begin at 5 p.m. in the Sunroom. In Napa style, enjoy the fascinating event with scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and wonderful wine provided by Markham Vineyards, followed shortly thereafter with Baron’s presentation. Experience City Winery at the Napa Valley Opera House, a new, fun and exciting destination in Downtown Napa as they partner with Napa Valley Film festival. During Arts in April Napa, on April 23, the NVFF will be presenting SENSING RED; a Special Evening of Film and Frivolity. Start the evening out at 5:30 p.m. where there will be an exclusive backstage tour & pre-reception for NVFF Patron Circle Members; 6:30 p.m. City Winery Doors open for cocktails, dinner, film screening and discussion! The featured entertainment for the evening will be the award-winning documentary film RED OBSESSION; followed by a panel discussion with industry experts. Attendees can enjoy craft cocktails, tasty bites, and also a scrumptious 3-course dinner paired with Napa Valley wines. Wine, dine and feel great about attending this fun Arts in April event. All net-proceeds will benefit Napa Valley Film Festival Education Programs that reach over 3,000 students and the community at large annually in the Napa Valley.
