At Cake Plate, Napa Valley’s premier boutique, fashion is served with a side of fabulousness and a heaping portion of fun. Founded in 2007 by Lindsay Kroll, who was joined by her sister, Paige Smith, in late 2008, the store is a haven for ladies looking for a perfect blend of old-world chic and modern-day sophistication. Feminine frocks hang side-by-side with comfortable (but polished) separates. Shelves and hangers are stocked with the likes of Tibi, Kate Spade, Milly, Lauren Moffatt, Hudson, Whit, Bailey 44, Tracy Reese, Kirribilla, Tucker, Trina Turk, and Michael Stars, to name a few.
Drawing inspiration from sources as varied as Audrey Hepburn, vintage photographs and antique flea markets, Cake Plate’s overall aesthetic is ladylike with a modern, cheeky edge. An assortment of (what else) cake plates line the shelves of the feminine and cozy boutique, set off by a smattering of retro photographs that perfectly capture the essence of the Cake Plate girl.
And, don’t forget to step inside the pop-up space located inside of the walls of Cake Plate Boutique – Benefit Cosmetics will be taking up shop there this summer and you never know what other fashion staple will be showing up for fall 2011!
