After your morning brunch, take a stroll to the Rail Arts District, a two-mile stretch running parallel to the Napa Valley Vine Trail and Napa Valley Wine Train tracks. RAD Napa includes murals created by world-renowned artists. These murals are the first of dozens of works of art that the city hopes to commission in the coming years from both local and international artists.
Next, head to Quent Cordair Fine Art. The gallery offers a variety of contemporary Romantic Realism in painting, sculpture and drawing. The gallery’s collection emphasizes themes which celebrate the moments of happiness, joy and success. You’re surely to be impressed by the award-winning artists and their creativity!
After enjoying some of Downtown Napa’s exquisite art, get ready to sip on some of Napa’s fine wines. We recommend heading to the Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ. With an astounding lineup of more than 400 highly allocated wines on the shelves and 40 wines available by the glass, the wine bar truly has some of the greatest wines from around the world. The bar also serves some of the finest Bourbon and Rye Whiskey Kentucky has to offer as well as a selection of very rare Single Malts from Scotland.
Next, head to Cole’s Chop House for dinner. The Classic American Steak House features 21-day dry-aged U.S.D.A. prime steaks, Midwestern corn-fed Black Angus Beef, formula fed veal, New Zealand lamb and fresh seafood. As well as an extensive wine list emphasizing Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the area’s finest producers enhances the dining experience. Enjoy the elegantly designed dining room while sipping on a Martini from their Honduran mahogany bar.
Finish off your night with some live entertainment. At Blue Note Napa, enjoy a variety of a performances including musicals, original plays and concerts. Over at Jarvis Conservatory, experience Napa Valley’s best kept secret for concerts and art films. At SILO’S, get up close and personal in their entertainment venue, which features delectable small plates, inspired cocktails, craft beers, Napa Valley wines and exceptional live music. Start your day with a good breakfast (or brunch) at the Napa General Store. We recommend filling up with the Vintner’s Breakfast, which is a full platter of brioche French toast, farm-fresh eggs, and sausage or bacon. The breakfast scrambles on the menu are also excellent. Insider tip: Dine on the outdoor patio for lovely riverfront views.
After breakfast, head to the Napa Valley Welcome Center along the Riverfront and pick up a walking tour map to see some of Downtown Napa’s most historical buildings. Napa boasts more pre-1906 structures than any other Bay Area city. These authentic buildings add character and charm through their Italianate, Victorian Gothic, Spanish Colonial, Classical Revival and Art Deco styles.
Next, adventure through Napa’s ARTwalk, where larger-than-life artwork remains on display throughout town. The Art Walk is designed to enhance the public environment and promote the understanding and enjoyment of public art by inviting regional artists to exhibit their art in downtown Napa on a temporary basis. You can check out the Napa Art Walk audio tour, presented using ‘Otocast’, a free smartphone app made specifically for walking tours. Using your smartphone, download Otocast through the Apple Store or Google Play and look up “Napa Artwalk,” then you can select which sculpture you’d like to hear about. Most of them have been recorded by the artists themselves.
