Conversations at Copia: Terroir

Sunday May 06 | 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Napa, CA 94559

Through live panels, film, art, dialogue, and tasting food and beverage, the monthly Conversations at Copia series aims to teach attendees about our food system, how to get involved, and how it affects us.

May 6, 2018

How do you define terroir? Terroir is often discussed in terms of winemaking, but what exactly does it mean? What role does it play in the foods and beverages we produce?

Our guest panelists will share their unique perspectives and expertise on what we believe, know, or hope to be terroir.

Presenters include:

Jordan MacKay, Author

Randall Grahm, Winemaker/Owner, Bonny Doon Vineyards

John Williams, Winemaker/Owner, Frog’s Leap Winery

Sue Conley, Cheese Maker/Owner, Cowgirl Creamery

Alexandra Kicenik Devarenne, Olive Oil Consultant, Calathena

Tony Tellin, Head Teamaker, Smith Tea

Then, join us for a walk-around reception supported by the Napa Valley Vintners in our new state-of-the-art teaching kitchens. Get a taste of place as we explore wines and food grown throughout the Napa Valley region.

Admission to the event is $35 and includes the Conversation and Walk-Around Reception.
